AFJROTC / TX-924 is a student run high school organization. The organization focuses on leadership skills, community, teamwork, and comradery. Leadership skills that will help cadets even after high school in one of the attributes that this organization does well. TX-924 cadets stay after school to help run the unit. Unlike many other student organizations and other JROTC units, TX-924 is totally voluntary. Staying after school is at the discretion of the cadet. The grade of the cadet is in no way affected by their participation in extra-curricular activities.

CMSGT LIONEL A. JACKSON
Chief Master Sergant Lionel A. Jackson is the Leadership Education Instructor for the Air Force Junior ROTC at Kempner High School in Sugar Land, Texas. CMSgt Jackson joined the Louisiana Air National Guard in November of 1986 and was assigned to the 159th Weapons Systems Security Flight at Naval Air Station - Joint Reserve Base, New Orleans. CMSgt Jackson was hired as an Active Guardsmen conducting Flight Operations for the Security Forces Squadron, Naval Air Station, Joint Reserve Base, New Orleans, Louisiana.
At the time of his retirement, he was the Security Manager of the 159 Security Forces Squadron, Louisiana Air National Guard, Naval Air Station - Joint Reserve Base, New Orleans, Louisiana. The 159th Security Forces Squadron is a Louisiana Air National Guard unit tasked to provide security protection of level three assets, and non-protection level resources assigned to all elements of the Louisiana Air National Guard.

Major Chmura served in various assignments as an Air Force Air Battle Manager. He began teaching JROTC at Kempner in January, 2016.
