By downloading, installing, or using AffordTrip, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Description of Service
AffordTrip is a travel budget discovery app that helps users find destinations they can afford based on their total trip budget. The App provides estimated total trip costs (flights, accommodation, food, activities, and local transport) for destinations worldwide. Flight prices are sourced from live data; hotel, food, and activity costs are pre-calculated estimates based on average prices per destination.
2. Accuracy of Information
Flight prices are sourced from Google Travel via a third-party API (SerpApi) and reflect approximate market prices at the time of the search. Actual prices may vary when you visit the airline or booking platform. AffordTrip is not a booking platform and does not sell flights, hotels, or any travel products.
Ground costs (accommodation, food, activities, transport) are estimates based on publicly available average cost data for each destination. These estimates represent mid-range spending and actual costs may be higher or lower depending on your choices, the season, and local conditions.
AffordTrip provides information for planning purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any prices shown in the App.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
AffordTrip offers a free plan with limited features (1 search per day, 3 visible destinations, 1 saved trip) and a paid "AffordTrip Pro" subscription with unlimited access.
Subscriptions are available as:
- Monthly: $6.99/month
- Annual: $54.99/year (equivalent to $4.58/month)
Prices may vary by region and currency.
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) at confirmation of purchase.
All payments are processed through Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). AffordTrip does not process payments directly.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the cost of the chosen subscription plan.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's account settings (App Store > Apple ID > Subscriptions on iOS, or Google Play > Subscriptions on Android). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain Pro access until then.
Refunds are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store in accordance with their respective refund policies.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to misuse the App, including but not limited to: attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code; using automated tools to scrape data; interfering with the App's servers or infrastructure; or using the App for any unlawful purpose.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and code in AffordTrip are owned by AffordTrip or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without prior written permission. Destination photos are sourced from Wikimedia Commons and are used under their respective Creative Commons licenses.
6. External Links and Booking
AffordTrip may contain links to third-party websites (such as Google Flights and Booking.com) for flight and hotel booking. These links are provided for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites. Your use of those websites is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
7. Limitation of Liability
AffordTrip is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to losses resulting from reliance on price estimates, missed travel opportunities, or booking decisions made based on information provided by the App.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AffordTrip, its developer, and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms, without prior notice.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
