Too many years to count, and most texts of the time have been lost to history, even in the Roost. However, depictions of giant ships in the sky can be found on various stone structures in The Chief's Nest, The Flying Fish, and The Lookout.
According to CHIEF AKCHA, EHECAT, OR TOPILLI, there is a landing dock on the western shores of Kinohtala Isle, where the people of Arcanus once docked their ships during their visits. While the Reptarrans are really the skilled builders between the two clans, and are closer to the landing dock in order to tend to its upkeep, the Aviar share the load by shuttling materials, resources, and lending manpower when it has been requested.
The Aviar have tasked themselves with guardianship over the jungle canopy, which is home to the solstone, a golden sphere said to have been made in the image of Mol'ecatl's forehead. The Roost holds many close affiliations with the sun, being an aether-sensitive species. This is especially true for SOL (Ivurie) as the Roost's peaks often remain above the cloud layers, except for during the isle's rainy seasons.
As stated, the aviar's most elite warriors are called warders, and typically wield bows, spears, or feather-daggers in combat. Each Warder is bonded with a guardian, which have an innate connection to Sol. Guardians are always hummingbird Aviar, whereas Warders can be any breed of tropical bird.
Like most birds, the Aviar are semi-carnivorous, able to eat meat, insects, fish, and only limited quantities of plant materials. Most of their cutlery is orange-and-black ceramics, sourced from the clay found in the various falls and streams in the Roost.
Aviar who are married wear a feather of their chosen spouse in their clothes, which are ornamented with wooden and clay beads of many colors. While the Aviar do not separate their people by class, it does seem that 'wealth' can be displayed in how many ornamental beads, tassels, and headpieces an aviar wears. Typically, only high ranking Warders (the chief's guard), the Chief's family, and the Chief's guardian wear exceptionally large headdresses.
tHE BRIDGES BETWEEN THE CLIFFHEADS WERE CONSTRUCTED TO ALLOW THE rEPTARRANS TO TRAVEL THE rOOST SAFELY. tHE BRIDGES CONNECT THE IMMEDIATE CLIFFS OF THE ROOST, AND THE BRIDGES ALONG tHE aSSEMBLY CONTINUE FROM PEAK TO PEAK UNTIL DESCENDING BELOW THE CANOPY, WHERE THE rEPTARRANS LIVE.
tHE kEEPERS ARE ANCIENT TECHNOLOGY INFUSED WITH SOL AND luUn, respectively. For the Aviar, the Sky-Keepers were built and infused with sol, and take the shape of flying serpents, dragonflies, and fish. They are intricately carved with aviar designs, INCLUDING SOL RUNES, AND gust runes to maintain prolonged flight.
dESPITE BEING MADE OF STONE AND METAL, THE kEEPERS MOVE QUICKLY IN FLIGHT, MAKING THEM DIFFICULT TO ATTACK. tHEY DO HAVE WEAK POINTS IN their mouths, fins/wings, and eyes which normally glow a golden hue.
The SKY-kEEPERS TRAVEL THE AIRSPACE BETWEEN tHE flYING fISH AND cAWUHTLA, WHICH HOUSES THE sOL STONE, AND THE sOLSTONE'S pERCH.
ohui are corrupted keepers, whose golden light has been replaced by a blue-white glow. This blue-white light radiates from inside of the keeper's body, and techic ticks can be seen swarming inside the Ohui's stone platings.
The Ohui are aggressive to any "Trespasser" in its immediate vicinity, and will attack by writhing its body to smash its enemies, bite down on their persons, or shoot concentrated beams of light from their mouths. This beam of sol drains its energy severly thanks to its corruption, forcing the ohui to slow down and divert power to its gust runes.
Some equipment, including utility items, weapons, and rune upgrades, can be bought in the Roost. These items can be found at the @aevummarket blog for purchase with emblems, unless otherwise stated by Event Vouchers.
