Our Commitment To Accessibility

The Aiken Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (AES PTO) is committed to website accessibility for all individuals, including individuals with disabilities. In an effort to make website content more accessible to everyone, including individuals with visual, hearing, cognitive disabilities, and users of assistive technology, our organization is adopting Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and is committed to Level AA standards of web content on desktop and laptop computers, tablets, and mobile devices.

How to Report a Barrier

To report a technology-based barrier to accessing our website, please notify our Executive Board by sending an email to our account at aikenelementarypto@gmail.com.

Information To Include In The Report

When reporting a barrier, please include the following information: 

• Name (of individual who encountered the barrier)

• Address (of individual who encountered the barrier)

• Date the barrier was encountered

• Description of the barrier/description of the problem 

• Web address (url) for the location of the barrier

• Solution desired

• Contact information in case more details are needed (email and phone number)

Once we have been notified of inaccessible content, we will work diligently to address and resolve the deficiency as soon as possible.
