Cana Rachada Instrumento tradicional da lezíria ribatejana, dada a quantidade de canaviais nesta zona. Para executar este instrumento, segura- se com uma mão a parte da cana que não está rachada e com a outra bate-se na sua extremidade executando ritmos, levando os dois pedaços da cana onde foi feita a abertura a bater um com o outro, produzindo um efeito rítmico que é muito utilizado nos cantares e danças tradicionais ribatejanas, nomeadamente o Fandango.
Bilha and Abano The peasants took to the fields a can of tin with water and fanns (handmade object in straw), so they could light a small fire to cook their lunch in the fields. This instrument follows in this sense, since it is constituted by a fano, percutido in the bottleneck of a can of tin. The musician beats with the fan in the bill and produces a serious sound that is marking the rhythm of the music.
Os camponeses levavam para os campos uma bilha de lata com água e abanos (objeto artesanal em palha), para poderem atear um pequeno lume para cozinhar o seu almoço nos campos. Este instrumento segue nesse sentido, uma vez que é constituído por um abano, percutido no gargalo de uma bilha de lata. O músico bate com o abano na bilha e produz um som grave que vai marcando o ritmo da música.
