World Record???
The Silent Electric Flyers of San Diego have a challenge to fly a stock Hobbyzone Aeroscout for duration. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
The plane must take off and land on an AMA club field. The previous record was 39 minutes and change. From takeoff until landing I was aloft 44:55. My transmitter has a few seconds less because I didn’t trigger the timer immediately upon takeoff (was busy). I have a .csv file logging all controllers and telemetry. Camille ran the stopwatch and spotted the flight.
My Aeroscout is 100% stock, prop and all. My battery is a 2 year old RCBattery.com liperiair 2200mAh 3s.
Next flight I’ll try a different prop and try to beat my own record. I landed on the field, but below LVC(low voltage cutoff). Transmitter is a RadioMaster Rc TX16S.
