As the CFD lead I'll be working with the other members to build and analyze our winglets in ANSYS. Using that data we'll be able to see how our physical models compare to the analytical. During this project I hope to build a better understanding of CFD for myself and my team. I'd also like to leave Mississippi State with more wind tunnel data and capabilities if possible.

During this project, I am responsible for designing a 3D model of the Winglets in Solidworks, and I will analyze the wind tunnel’s data of each winglet. From this project, I expect to build a solid foundation in Solidworks and successfully analyze data from the wind tunnel.

I will also be working with Solidworks for this project. I will design a number of winglets for 2-3 different NACA airfoils. I will then help collect analytical data from those winglets by employing CFD. That data will then be compared to the experimental data gathered from wind tunnel testing.

For this project, I want to learn as much as I can, like learn how to run a CFD simulation, create winglets in Solidworks, build and print our actual wings, and learn how to operate and analyze data collected from the wind tunnel. Along with this, I will also be running our social media.
