Effective Date: October 6, 2026
Aerial IPTV Player ("Aerial", "we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
In short:
Aerial has no user accounts and no servers of our own, and what you add to the app stays on your device. The free version shows ads and measures how the app is used, and the SDKs that do this collect limited device and usage data, described in sections 3 and 4. We never see your playlists, credentials or what you watch.
By downloading and using the app, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not require an account or login. We do not ask for or receive your name, e-mail address, phone number, address or location. We operate no backend, so no server of ours receives your playlists, Xtream Codes credentials, favorites, history or passcodes.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
Aerial stores some information on your device so that it can work. It operates solely on your device or on the network connections you configure.
2.1 Playlists, Xtream Codes accounts and guide links
When you add a source, Aerial saves the playlist link (M3U/M3U8), the Xtream Codes server address, username and password, or the EPG (XMLTV) link you entered. These are stored only in the app's private storage on your device and are used solely to download your playlist, sign in to your Xtream Codes service, and load your program guide. We never receive them.
2.2 Favorites, history and settings
Your favorite channels, recently watched channels, hidden channels, "Continue watching" position, source passcodes, and playback or layout preferences are stored only on your device. They are removed when you delete the source, clear history in Settings, or delete the app. If you use iCloud device backup, iOS may include this data in your encrypted backup under Apple's terms.
2.3 Caches
To load faster, Aerial keeps a local copy of parsed playlists, program guide data, and channel logo images referenced by your playlist. These caches live only on your device.
2.4 Local Network, files and background audio
iOS may ask for Local Network permission so that Aerial can discover playback devices on the same Wi-Fi network. When you import a playlist or guide from a file, Aerial reads only the file you pick. Aerial declares the background audio capability so that sound continues when you leave the app or lock the screen. None of this sends data to us.
3. Advertising
The free version of Aerial shows ads: banner, native (list) and full-screen ads. Premium removes them (see section 5). To serve ads, Aerial uses Google AdMob and an ad mediation layer through which other ad networks may bid for or deliver ads. These networks may include AppLovin, InMobi, ironSource, Liftoff (Vungle), Meta Audience Network, Mintegral, Pangle and Unity Ads. The list can change as we add or remove networks.
When an ad is requested, these providers may receive and process, directly from your device: your IP address, device type and operating system version, language, a coarse (not precise) location derived from your IP address, ad interactions (impressions, clicks), app crash and performance data, and, only if you allow it, your Advertising Identifier (IDFA). They use this to deliver, measure and limit the frequency of ads, to prevent fraud, and, if you allow tracking, to personalize ads. They act under their own privacy policies.
Your choices:
· Tracking. On first launch Aerial asks for App Tracking Transparency permission. If you tap "Ask App Not to Track", the IDFA is not shared and ads are not personalized using it. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > Aerial.
· Consent. Where required (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), Aerial shows Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform) before any ad data is collected, and you can change your answer later through the privacy options offered by that form.
· Limit Ad Tracking and personalized ads can also be turned off at the system level in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising.
· Buying Premium removes ads entirely.
4. Analytics, Attribution and Remote Configuration
Aerial uses Google Firebase (Analytics and Remote Config) and AppsFlyer. They receive app events (for example screens opened, the paywall shown or closed, a purchase started or completed, ad events), app version, device model, iOS version, language, country derived from IP address, a random app-instance identifier, and, only if you allow tracking, the IDFA. We use this to understand which features are used, to fix problems, to measure whether our ads and store listing bring users, and to change app settings such as which Premium screen is shown. AppsFlyer also receives purchase receipts' outcome so we can measure subscription results. We do not combine this data with your name, e-mail or any playlist content, and none of it contains the playlists, stream addresses, usernames or passwords you add.
Aerial does not use these tools to read, upload or analyze the content of your sources or what you watch.
5. Purchases and Subscriptions
Aerial Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple In-App Purchase. We never see or store your Apple ID, card or any payment information; Apple processes the payment. Aerial learns only whether your Apple ID currently has an active Premium subscription, which it reads from Apple (StoreKit) on your device. "Restore" asks Apple again on your device, so Premium returns after a reinstall or on a new device with the same Apple ID, without any account with us. Subscription prices, free trials, renewal, cancellation and refunds are described in our Terms of Use and handled by Apple.
6. Network Connections the App Makes
Besides the ad, analytics and Apple services above, Aerial connects directly from your device to the addresses you provide: the host of your playlist file, your Xtream Codes server, your EPG provider, and the image hosts referenced in your playlist. Those providers receive your IP address and standard request data, and their own privacy policies apply. We are not affiliated with any IPTV provider and have no access to what you watch.
7. Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. Data goes only to the service providers named in sections 3, 4 and 5 (Google, the ad networks, AppsFlyer, Apple), to the extent they need it to provide their service, and to the servers you configure yourself (section 6). AirPlay is provided by iOS. We receive aggregated, anonymous App Store statistics from Apple.
Provider policies:
· Google (AdMob, Firebase, User Messaging Platform): https://policies.google.com/privacy
· AppsFlyer: https://www.appsflyer.com/legal/privacy-policy/
· Ad networks: each publishes its own privacy policy on its website.
8. Data Retention
Data on your device stays until you remove it in the app or delete the app. Data held by Google, AppsFlyer and the ad networks is kept under their own retention rules, which we do not control; we only receive aggregated or app-instance level reports from them.
9. Children's Privacy
Aerial is rated 17+ on the App Store because it can play any Internet content you add. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will help.
10. Security
Your sources and credentials are stored in the app's sandboxed container on your device, protected by iOS device encryption. Keep your device passcode enabled. Data sent to our service providers travels over encrypted connections where the provider supports it.
11. Your Rights
You can revoke any permission at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security, or Settings > Aerial. We hold no account or personal profile about you, so there is nothing for us to export or delete from our side; removing a source, clearing history in Settings, or deleting the app removes what Aerial stored on your device. To reset the identifier used by Firebase and AppsFlyer, delete the app and reinstall it. If you are in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, California, Brazil or Vietnam and want to exercise a right under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD or Decree 13/2023/ND-CP (access, deletion, objection to or limitation of processing, withdrawal of consent), contact us below; for data held by the providers in section 7 you may also contact them directly.
12. International Transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, they rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" above reflects the latest revision. If a change is material, we will say so in the app or on this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
14. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or want to exercise a right above, contact us at contact.ntnapp@gmail.com.
