Despite discussion of sunsetting psychomotor testing, NREMT still requires psychomotor testing for all levels.
The AEMT Candidates are tested on 9 (nine) skills:
Patient Assessment – Trauma
Patient Assessment – Medical
Supraglottic Airway Device
Cardiac Arrest Management/AED
Intravenous Therapy
Intravenous Bolus Medications
Pediatric Intraosseous Infusion
Pediatric Respiratory Compromise
Random EMT Skills (test one of the following chosen at random):
Bleeding Control/Shock Management
Long Bone Immobilization
Joint Immobilization
The random skill is announced at the test site just before the exam starts.
