MOTIVATION
This is an activity that aims to hook the students’ interest as they begin to learn the concept of Subject Verb Agreement Rules.
The designated teachers will facilitate the warm up activity through picture analysis. The students are encouraged to construct sentences based on the illustrations presented during synchronous session.
INDEPENDENT PRACTICE
Independent Work requires student participation in the Jamboard prepared by the facilitators.
Each student must apply the SVA rules learned from the Asynchronous Discussion and must construct 6 grammatically-correct sentences. There must be 1 contributed sentence that applies each rule.
SYNTHESIS
The facilitators will elicit students’ key takeaways from the discussion on the Subject-Verb Agreement Rules.
Students will also share their reflections about the importance of utilizing Subject-Verb Agreement Rules when communicating with other person/people in different contexts.
POST TEST
A post-assessment will be conducted to students. There will be 15 multiple choice test items intended to check students’ understanding after the lessons were taught by the facilitators.
The students will be engaged in an interactive online assessment through an application called Quizziz.
