How could I be an English Teacher without my love for this book? 

A classic American Literature novel that when I first read it in high school, I thought "Really? This is the novel people rave about?"

As I have grown, and have read this novel many times, I understand the appreciation this novel receives. 

This is a timeless masterpiece that uncovers the harsh truths of the 1920s, and the tragic story of Daisy and Gatsby.   The themes of corruption,  dreams,  and love are discovered as we read. Some of these themes readers can resonate with today, 

I have read this novel six times, and each time I read it, I find something new that I can take away from it;  this is the beauty of reading, no matter how many times you read a book, there is always a different message that can be conveyed.
