AsterWrite has a clear process for Grounded Theory.

  1. Collect Data on various information.

  2. Transcribe Excerpts.

  3. Link Demography data.

  4. Extract Excerpts.

  5. Create Codes.

  6. Develop Code Map.

  7. Analyze Demography data.

  8. Write Report.

Transcripted data in Excel format can be easily imported into AsterWrite.

This is true for most types of surveys including Individual Surveys.

… or Group Surveys.

Excerpts can also be directly entered or imported from Excel files.

Demographical data can also be imported through Excel files.

Here is a sample demography data analysis.

The code map is very easily generated as excerpts are assigned to the codes.

New codes are created dynamically on the code map canvas.

Then, when a code is clicked, the excerpts are compiled from all the sources.

So, the researcher can write a review of the code. This is amazing simplicity from AsterWrite.

Once the review is written, the researcher can expand or collapse the review to display the

  • Full text file

  • Concept Summary, or the

  • Category Summary.
