About the Instructor
Dr. Lisa Vance is the founder of AdVance Digital Learning and brings extensive experience in higher education, accessibility, disability services, and instructional design. She has nearly 20 years of experience working in disability services and ADA coordination, supporting institutions in meeting federal accessibility requirements while creating more inclusive learning environments.
She has worked extensively with instructors, staff, and disability support offices to improve digital accessibility in learning environments and ensure alignment with ADA and federal accessibility standards. Lisa has developed and delivered campus-wide training on accessible course materials, instructional technology, and accessibility compliance. She has also supported the implementation of accessibility tools within learning management systems and collaborated with faculty and staff to address accommodation needs and remove barriers for students with disabilities.
In addition to her accessibility leadership, Lisa teaches psychology and human services courses in both online and face-to-face formats and has over 17 years of experience teaching in higher education. Her work focuses on practical strategies that help educators and organizations apply accessibility best practices in real-world teaching and training environments.
Lisa holds a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and is committed to helping institutions build sustainable, inclusive practices that improve access and learning opportunities for all students.
