Electro-Epilation, commonly referred to as Electrolysis or Thermolysis, is a method of permanent hair removal by electrocuting each hair follicle in succession, followed by removing it.
It works on every hair color and thickness and coarseness, on every skin color and tone!
This might seem like a long process, and it can be. But treating and removing 10 hairs with electrolysis is much more effective than plucking out or waxing 100 hairs.
Electrolysis is different from laser hair reduction in several ways.
First of all, for electrolysis, don't shave the area the same day! I need to be able to remove the hair after it's treated.
Laser treats larger patches at once, and aims to reduce the size of each hair over several sessions. Electrolysis treats each hair individually until it is killed and removed.
Laser may not be as effective as electrolysis, and may not work on all skin & hair types, colors, thicknesses, or depths of hairs.
Laser may also cause hypertrichosis, which makes the hair grow more, worsening the problem.
It's a conductive probe! Not a needle!
It's a small wire that gets inserted along the shaft of the hair. No new holes are being poked into you!
Some people don't feel the insertion at all.

You'll get a small sample of the electrolysis treatment if you bring some hair for me to zap!
Just read the page on Preparation and Aftercare for tips on getting electyrolysis!
Because the results are permanent with electrolysis!
If you rip out hairs with plucking/ tweezing/ waxing, it can make hair growth worse, as every hair is connected to a blood supply, and a blood supply carries hormones. And hormones are what causes hair to grow! Ripping out hairs can also cause scarring or dermatitis.
Laser is reduction, but the hairs typically remain there. Also see above!
If you want to keep buying razors the rest of your life, and having to shave every day or so, or paying for waxing, etc. then you can, but this is permanent hair removal!
For all the time a person spends shaving, or worrying in a mirror about a few hairs, you could just have those hairs removed.
Also, when the hairs are gone completely, you won't see that shadow on the skin of where the hairs are, potentially saving you from having to layer on makeup to cover it up, or having the large pores from where the hairs come out of the skin!
Because hair grows in cycles!
And unless you only have a few hairs to get in a short period of time, we might not have time for your entire body.
If I somehow zapped every hair growing out of your skin today, you'd have hairs growing out tomorrow. These are different hairs, even if it looks like the same as the others, or even if it's the same area, or even the same pore.
Ever notice how sometimes there are multiple hairs coming out of one follicle? And that's just what's currently growing! There's a lot more beneath the skin waiting to come out that we have to treat.
Schedule a free consultation anyway!
You can learn about your hair and how to best treat your skin and hair. Some people may be doing things that worsen the emergence of thicker hair. In the consultation, I can teach you about hair biology, what does affect it, and what doesn't actually help reduce hair growth.
Consultations also come with a short sample treatment as long as you bring hair to kill, so we can see how you even like electrolysis!
Some people also find they need less electrolysis time than they initially thought, making it more affordable!
