Gingerbread House Project - Fall '24
Grade 9
With 3 partners, we had to create a "gingerbread house" made of cardboard. We decided to model ours after the main building at the University of Texas. We had 3 hours to complete this project. I reused orchestra bow lights that we'd used during our winter concert to create the lighting element, and I also designed planned out how we would make the building. Developed skills in project planning and organizing and delegating tasks
Mini Golf hole project
Grade 9
Designed and built a themed mini golf hole with multiple obstacles. Both myself and the person I was partnered with are Texas Longhorns fans, and so we decided to theme our project on Darrel K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium, with the obstacles on the field being the opponents that the Longhorns played that season. Developed skills in mocking up designs and managing time in a time-constrained class period.
I designed this field which served as the base of our project. We built bleachers and obstacles like ramps and walls that had opponent team logos on top of this.
