You can also phone SA Police, on 131444 and ask if they can conduct a welfare check. However, if you have serious concerns for someones welfare, call the SA Ambulance Service on triple zero (000) and have them attend. They are better suited to do welfare checks. If there are any other concerns, SA Ambulance Service will call the police direct to have them attend along with them.

Urgent police emergencies: For life-threatening situations such as domestic violence, the presence of firearms or drugs, a lost child, or a missing elderly person, call 000 (triple zero). Also, in the event of petrol or gas leaks after a vehicle accident (fire hazards), dial 000 immediately.

For all life-threatening medical emergencies, call 000 (triple zero).
