Moments from the Horse Psychology Workshop
Sunday 24th May | Full Day
Mare Station & Paddocks, Horseshoe Point
Horseshoe Point was proud to host the “Horse Psychology Workshop” led by Adrian Sinna, an internationally award-winning animal rehabilitation and behavior specialist. Adrian holds a PhD in Animal Behavior and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
The workshop welcomed 15 participants including members from Charan 92 Horse Riding Club (Archers), trainee veterinarians from Mahidol University, and professional veterinarians.
Participants explored horse psychology and natural equine behavior through both classroom lectures and hands-on practical sessions at the stables.
Topics included:
• Mental therapy for horses
• Methods of behavioral correction
• Social structure and herd dynamics
• Horse body language
• Building trust between horses and humans
• Practical trust-building exercises in the stable area
• Understanding the natural behavior of ponies in the paddocks
• Working with horses showing signs of aggression
• Handling and training our young colt, Loto
The practical afternoon sessions gave participants the opportunity to observe horse behavior closely and apply communication and trust-building techniques in a real stable environment.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to a successful and educational workshop. We look forward to welcoming everyone again for future learning experiences at Horseshoe Point.
