Adrian Horsewood does not at all conform to the stereotype of a traditional, “greying” portrayal of the role of Jesus; but when one hears this unbelievably young-looking Briton, one could not wish for anyone different in his place.
Review of J.S. Bach, St John Passion (Badische Zeitung, Germany)
Born in Hong Kong in 1983, Adrian read mathematics and philosophy at Cambridge before studying for Master’s degrees in Historical Performance from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. He is currently working towards a PhD on 17th-century sacred music in Rome at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
