Over 10 years of experience in Japan as a simultaneous interpreter and translator.
Primary fields are in the travel industry and gaming industry, with experience in various other fields.
Technical Experience
I have worked for a large railway company in Tokyo as a simultaneous interpreter between station staff and riders. Following that I worked at a large IT company translating various industry market trends and analysis reports. Currently I work closely with airlines, hotels and tourism brands to transform their concepts and campaigns into English for both specific English-speaking audiences and wider range of audiences.
Gaming and Entertainment Experience
I have experience translating subtitles for various forms of media from Youtube videos to film festival entries. (See here)
As a long-time gamer and gaming enthusiast, I've worked with companies to localize games, and have experience in LQA and quality checks. I also interpreted for and assisted an Indie Game Developer at the 2018 Tokyo Game Show.
