About me

I'm an avid gamer and started young on the Super Nintendo. I play a wide range of genres, but I love a good game with a story and characters you take a liking to. My interest in games led me to take interest in Japan, and I even developed a deep respect for people who have mastered the Japanese language.
I moved from Canada to Japan in 2010, and immediately did everything I could to immerse myself in the language. My time at university, a diverse range of hobbies and a joy for learning Japanese have shaped my Japanese knowledge.

I also practice a martial arts involving katanas called Iaido, and have won a regional tournament, as well as ranked well in other tournaments within my level.

During my free time, I enjoy finding hidden cafes and nooks dotted all over Tokyo, photographing cherry blossoms, and reading both in Japanese and English.

Tested and quality checked English localization for a highly-anticipated game coming to Apple Arcade. Checked localized English with source Japanese in XML files and reported daily to the team.

Translated and localized preliminary concepts, proposals and scripts from Japanese into English. The project was a total of 18,700 Japanese characters.

Subtitle Translation: Resurrection of Fukushima
Translated and localized subtitles for Youtube videos created by Resurrection of Fukushima focused on their revitalization efforts and energy alternative solutions for the communities impacted by the March 11th earthquake.
