Free Last-Minute Printable Student Planner (Zero Cost!)

I created this DIY student planner for my 7th grader because I was tired of spending money on expensive planners that went unused! This is the ultimate quick, zero-cost solution using materials you already have at home.

Simply print the layout on standard US Letter size paper (8.5" x 11"), fold the pages in half, and you’ll instantly have a Statement / Half-Letter size planner (5.5" x 8.5").

Minimalist & Fully Customizable Design

Mix-and-Match via Google Slides

Every page is saved as a transparent PNG inside Google Slides. You can easily reorder, delete, or duplicate pages to fit your exact needs before printing.

🖨️ How to Print Your Booklet Correctly

When printing a folded booklet, your total page count must always be a multiple of 4 (e.g., 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, or 32 pages).

Why? Each standard sheet of paper folded in half creates 4 individual planner pages (2 on the front, 2 on the back). If your page count isn't a multiple of 4, you will end up with random blank pages in the middle of your printed booklet.

Printing Instructions from Google Slides:

1. Page Layout: The Google Slides file is already set to Statement size (5.5" W x 8.5" H) for single-page editing.

2. Export to PDF: Go to File > Download > PDF Document (.pdf).

3. Printer Settings:

   • Open the downloaded PDF in your preferred viewer (like Adobe Acrobat or Chrome) and select Print.

   • Under the print settings, select Booklet (or Booklet Printing).

   • Ensure the booklet subset is set to Both sides, binding is set to Left, and paper orientation is Landscape.

4. Assemble: Print, fold the stack of pages in half down the middle, secure the spine (with staples or hole punches), and your planner is complete!
