Adobe Ereader Free Download

For the record, I have tried everything: De/Re Authorizing, deleting books, overdrive account vs adobe account, etc. I couldn't use ADE V3 as my Mac is running 64 bit and it's not supported. I thought I was hooped until I came across this in my hours of searching:

I just resolved my issue! I tried all the same things as you, spoke to Kobo for ages and nothing there helped, and tried reauthorizing my kobo, redownloading adobe digital editions etc but no luck anywhere. Finally I erased my computer's authorization... this does mean I lost all access to the current library books in my library, but I then authorized it (with overdrive as my new ID) and every book I've downloaded since I've had no problem with reading. I plugged my Kobo ereader into my computer but ADE shows it's already authorized so I can't do it again. I clicked on Authorize Device anyway, but it was grey so nothing changed. Now I can't open books on my reader but I can read on my computer, through ADE, and on my phone. I don't really like reading on either of those devices though. Any ideas of what I can do about this?

May be we are just lucky in the Netherlands. All of my books with the same properties (view on every device, no copy no print) are readable on our two ebooks as well. It works with ePub, i have a problem with pdf which can be read on ADE but my ereader can't open it. Strange.

Hi Frustrated in AZ. How long should it take for the ereader to process the new content? I am having the same issue in that i can move the file to my ereader and it shows on my reader but i can't open the book, i get a message saying 'file open failed'. I have tried all of your above steps and have waited up to 30 minutes before disconnecting the reader but still no luck. Also my reader does not show that content is being transferred. Any suggestions?

I had tried reimporting the ebook, go to the Kobo website, deauthorize both the computer and ereader, factory data reset my Kobo and redownloading the Adobe digital editions but none of them helps my problem.

I can see my book on the MAC, in ADE and on the KOBO ereader, but disconnect the USB and allow the KOBO to finish loading it in "My Books?" It turns the cover to black and talks about this deauthorization message. KOBO chat couldn't solve it and, so far, neither can Adobe Chat.

I have previously been able to download ebooks to my ereader (Kobo) using my public library Overdrive site and Adobe Digital Editions. Lately, I cannot download the books into Digital Editions. I get no error message - just nothing happens after I get the dialogue box saying "fulfilling content". It appears to be an issue with digital editions, not my library site. I have tried multiple books, I have uninstalled and reinstalled ADE several times and nothing seems to be working. It is very frustrating, as well, that there doesn't seem to be a way to contact a person at Adobe and directly communicate with them to solve this issue! Please help!

Don't know if anyone can now help........as previous post, have a Sony PRS t2 ereader (very old!). Have recently tried connecting to (a new laptop) and ereader is not recognised! Have tried all sort of things, none of which seem to work (ie different leads, opening in different way). Seems the laptop does not recognise the ereader. Can I resolve this?

Also, now cannot get onto the library website to download books!! They have changed to overdrive and can't seem to get it at all! Have tried resetting ereader, now have no books and can't download new ones!

NOTE: Do not install ADE on a public or library computer. You will be able to open the book but it will be locked to that computer. You will not be able to transfer it to an ereader or access it again after you have logged off.

Once Adobe Digital Editions has been successfully downloaded to the Windows or Mac computer, you can start reading ePub and PDF books borrowed from OverDrive and Freading. When Adobe Digital Editions opens a book, it confirms that you have the permissions to read it. Many books are Digital Rights Management (DRM) protected. If it is not a protected book, you can open it and start reading. However, if it is a protected book, you have to authorize Adobe Digital Editions using an Adobe ID.
