Jessica Wang, Founder

Hi! My name is Jessica Wang, and I am a junior from Westwood High School. My academic experience has been full of rigorous pursuit in many subjects, ranging from mathematics to entrepreneurship to illustration. My achievements in mathematics include scoring in the top 5% nationally in AMC10A and B, as well as qualifying for and competing in many prestigious programs, such as Math Prize for Girls, Berkeley Math Tournament, Harvard-MIT Math Tournament, and Girls in Math Yale. I have also earned several awards for drawing and illustration, including two Gold Keys in the Scholastic Art and Writing competition and High Merit in Celebrating Art. I could not have accomplished as much as I have without the help of a variety of educational programs. However, I have noticed that a lot of accelerated-learning programs are generally inaccessible to the public due to their expensive or exclusive nature. As such, I wanted to create a program that would support students from any background to realize their full academic potential. My vision for Ad Meliora, which means "towards the better," is to allow students from local communities to access the same opportunities that I had and improve their academic experiences.
