I have attained Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension Education from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, West Bengal. I worked under the supervision of Prof. Debabrata Basu in the area of farm typology and characterization of agricultural farms.
My Ph.D. thesis examines the different typologies of farms in different agro-climatic regions of Jharkhand state in India. The study utilizes multidimensional analysis to study the villages using geographical information system, coupled with the use of multivariate statistics to delineate the farm typologies suiting the villages. The thesis, therefore, is crucial to understand the existing typologies in remote villages so as to develop training strategies for better penetration of the agricultural technologies.
I have been awarded with the first prize in Best PhD Thesis Award from National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE, Hyderabad) carrying a cash prize of Rupees Fifty thousand and a citation. Earlier, I have received the coveted AWSAR award for best PhD story by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, in 2019. I am also a recipient of Netaji Subhas- ICAR International Fellowship Award-2017 by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi.
My research interests include Educational Technology and Agricultural Journalism.
