HISTORY
Ading is a functional learning resource center located in San Fermin Elementary School (SFES), Cauayan, Isabela. It is the culmination of Teach for the Philippines' (TFP) student and community development programs and the fruit of meaningful partnerships.
This initiative emerged from the school community's urgent need for additional learning facilities and resources to strengthen efforts in bridging learning gaps and promoting equitable education. The project's name is inspired by the Ilokano endearment for children or someone younger. This reflects TFP and SFES' commitment to making the initiative inclusive and dedicated to every learner in the community.
In January 2025, the project proposal for Ading was approved, followed by a series of fundraising efforts and a call for project champions to advocate for the cause. Despite the challenges it faced, Project Ading was completed and officially turned over to the school community in September 2025.
For many of the learners, the center is their first real encounter with books, technology, and learning beyond the four walls of a classroom. It is a space where imagination is sparked, and where dreams begin to take root.
Ading serves as a dynamic learning center dedicated to promoting excellent, inclusive, and relevant education. Guided by the advocacy “Para sa bata at para sa bayan,” it aims to provide equal access to high-quality educational resources and services tailored to diverse learner needs. Through its mission and strategic use of resources, ADING fosters a strong culture of learning and works toward sustainable educational change.
