Caladiums may be planted in pots or in large clumps in beds and borders. Caladiums come in a variety of leaf shapes and sizes, depending on whether they are fancy-leaved or strap-leaved. All of this has the potential to create a dramatic statement. All of these elements have the potential to create a striking statement in the landscape.
Even for beginners, a spider plant is one of the easiest houseplants to cultivate. It's one of the most intriguing as well. It features long, thin leaves that grow in rosettes that drape over the pot's edge, as well as longer branches that produce plantlets that may be rooted and detached from the parent plant.
Birds of Paradise like moist (but not soggy) soil that can dry somewhat between waterings. Try not to allow the soil dry up entirely in the container, but don't overwater it either. Allow the top 2" - 3" of the soil to dry out between waterings, but keep the soil moist below that. These plants thrive in our self-watering pots in particular.
