Adoption Profile: Jasper
Name: Jasper
DOB: December 2023
Colour: Black (panther vibes!)
Sex: Male
Jasper is a stunning black “mini panther” who was rescued off the streets at around 9–10 weeks old. Despite his rough start, he’s grown into a confident, social, and affectionate young cat.
Jasper is well socialised with both cats and dogs and settles well into a household environment. He does still have strong hunting instincts, so for his safety he must be kept indoors. He would absolutely love a cat enclosure (catio) where he can safely watch birds and enjoy the outdoors without risk.
One thing to know about Jasper — he is extremely food driven. Obsessed might even be the right word 😄 This makes him easy to manage and train, but also means his diet is very important.
Jasper cannot eat supermarket dry food. He is currently thriving on Advance Chicken dry food, and any adopter must be willing to continue feeding a premium-quality diet, such as:
• Advance
• Royal Canin
• Hill’s Science Diet
• Or similar premium brands
If you’re unable to commit to feeding a premium diet long-term, Jasper would unfortunately not be a suitable match.
Jasper is:
✔️ Desexed
✔️ Microchipped
✔️ Social with cats & dogs
✔️ Indoor-only (catio encouraged)
Jasper is a classic lucky black cat — loving, playful, and often found curled up asleep when he’s not thinking about his next meal 🖤
🔁 Adoption Policy
A 3-month, no-questions-asked return policy applies. Jasper must be returned to me if the adoption doesn’t work out.
Please note: the adoption fee is non-refundable.
If you’re looking for a handsome, food-motivated, panther-like companion and can meet Jasper’s dietary and safety needs, he may be the perfect addition to your home
ADOPTED
Hi, my name is Manager. I am approximately 4 years old, and it’s unknown how long I was left to fend for myself on the streets of Mount Barker.
Luckily, Adelaide Hills Cat Rescue took me into care and gave me a second chance at life.
I have now been flea treated, wormed, desexed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and I’m ready to spend my days relaxing in a safe and loving home. My favourite thing will be finding a warm spot by the window where I can watch the world go by in comfort.
I am a chilled and relaxed gentleman with a gentle nature. I am currently untested with dogs and young children, but I have shown myself to be calm and easygoing while in care.
I still have so many happy years ahead of me, and I deserve the chance to live the life every cat dreams of — safe, loved, warm, and cared for. Could you be the person to give me that forever home.
Adoption Profile: Yuki
Name: Yuki
DOB: 2022 (month unknown)
Sex: Male
Colour: White
Yuki is a stunning all-white boy with a gentle nature and a love for the simple things in life — birdwatching, sleeping, and cuddling. He’s a calm, affectionate cat who enjoys spending his days relaxing in the cat enclosure or curled up close to his people.
Yuki’s history is a sad one. He was found abandoned in a tightly shut cardboard box, left with only a near-empty bag of supermarket dry cat food. After being found, Yuki was taken to the RSPCA, where he was checked for a microchip. Sadly, he was not microchipped and was placed on a 10-day hold. When no owner came forward, Yuki then come to me and given the chance at a safe, stable life he so clearly deserved.
Yuki is now desexed and microchipped and is well socialised with both cats and dogs. He is an affectionate, easygoing boy who enjoys companionship but is also content doing his own thing.
🏡 Indoor-Only Home (Non-Negotiable)
Yuki must be kept indoors at all times.
This is essential for several reasons:
• As a white cat, he is at high risk of skin cancer
• He has clearly been allowed to roam previously and, if let outside, is very unlikely to return
• Keeping cats indoors (with or without a cat enclosure) is a strict condition of adoption from my rescue
A cat enclosure (catio) is highly encouraged and something Yuki truly enjoys.
🍽️ Diet Requirements (Very Important)
Yuki has previously suffered from vomiting caused by supermarket dry food. Because of this, he must remain on a premium-quality diet.
He is currently eating Advance Chicken dry food and doing well.
Acceptable alternatives include:
• Advance
• Royal Canin
• Hill’s Science Diet
• Or similar premium brands
If you are unable or unwilling to continue feeding premium food, Yuki would not be suitable for your home. His health depends on it.
💙 The Perfect Match
Yuki would suit a home that:
• Wants a calm, loving companion
• Can provide a safe indoor-only environment
• Is committed to quality nutrition and proper veterinary care
Yuki has already experienced abandonment and neglect. He now deserves security, consistency, and love for the rest of his life
We Currently have 13 cats on site, some are resident cats, some are senior and special needs, some are special needs and several are unsocialised.
