Upcoming Retreats
Autumn 2026 4-day non-residential Sesshin
When: from 9:00am Friday 24 April to 5:00pm Monday 27 April 2026. This is a non-residential retreat. Each day doors will open at 8:30am. We will start at 9:00am and finish at 5:00pm. Participants return to their homes at the end of each day and to the venue the next morning.
Where: Sophia - 225 Cross Road, Cumberland Park, SA.
The Sesshin will be led by Imelda Carson Roshi and will include zazen (sitting meditation), kinhin (walking meditation), dokusan (interviews) and dharma talks (teishos).
Full-time and part-time attendance.
We welcome full-time and part-time attendance. Each day consists of 2 practice blocks (9:00am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 5:00pm).
You may register for all 8 practice blocks (full-time) or anywhere from 2 to 8 practice blocks (part-time). Two blocks is the minimum requirement but they need not be consecutive.
Fees
The fees for this retreat are: $30 per practice block ($60 per day). Your booking is not confirmed until full payment is received.
Concessions
Please don’t let financial issues prevent you from attending. If the program fee presents a barrier for attending, concessions are available on request. Payment by instalments may also be negotiated. Please contact Julian Di Bez at dibez@bigpond.com to discuss.

The teachers for this program will be Imelda Carson and Steve Wigg. The venue will be the Sophia Centre in Cumberland Park.
September: Five-day residential sesshin (dates TBC)
The teachers for this program will be Allan Marett and Steve Wigg. The venue will be at Goolwa Beach.
November: Two-day intensive (Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th)
The teachers for this program will be Imelda Carson and Steve Wigg. The venue will be the Sophia Centre in Cumberland Park.
December: Online Rohastu zazenkai (dates TBC)
The teacher for this program will be Allan Marett.
