The club owns a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 36i (Samos) which is kept at Suffolk Yacht Harbour on the River Orwell. She can accommodate up to 6 people (if some of you don't mind getting cosy) and is used throughout the season by our members both for learning more about sailing and to just have fun bobbing about on the East Coast and further afield. We have lots going on throughout the season. Our typical activities are:
Training
Evening, day and weekend training sessions
Club sails to build experience
Racing
Monday evenings (roughly every other week)
Weekend rallies
Social rallies to destinations on the East coast
Summer cruise
4 to 6 week cruise every summer (Jun/Jul time), split into week-long passages
Private bookings: available for use by suitably qualified members at other times.
Samos is berthed at Suffolk Yacht Harbour (sometimes known as Levington Marina) on Berth G216.

The Laser is a class of single-handed, one-design sailing dinghies using a common hull design with three interchangeable rigs of different sail areas, appropriate to a given combination of wind strength and crew weight. Bruce Kirby designed the Laser in 1970 with an emphasis on simplicity and performance.
The Hartley 12 is a very easy to manage and delightfully responsive rotomould dinghy. This attractive dinghy is particularly suited to those in the early stages of sailing. The Hartley 12 is so easy to sail. It’s wide beam and deep hull shape allow it to be quite tolerant and forgiving of the kind of mistakes made by less experienced sailors.
The Xenon is an excellent high performance 2-man hiking boat perfect for getting your friend or partner into non-trapeze sailing or for club racing. The Xenon offers unbeatable value for money in comparison to many club racing options and has been selected for the prestigious Champion of Champions event,
Our dinghies operate from Waldringfield Sailing Club on the River Deben
