Climate Educator - Project Sthithi
Change Can Change Climate Change (C5)
As part of the district administration's initiative to guide the younger generation toward a green and sustainable lifestyle, Project Sthithi collaborated with various summer camps to include dedicated modules on climate change and sustainability education. The initiative was held under the mentorship of Dr. K. Vasuki IAS, District Collector, Thiruvananthapuram, with the core objective of fostering climate awareness through experiential and activity-based learning.
In this initiative, I served as a climate educator during the Climate Education Week, conducting engaging sessions across nine schools and colleges on the theme of sustainability and climate change.
Through interactive discussions and creative activities, I helped students understand the importance of adopting sustainable practices in their daily lives. The sessions also included hands-on training in creating craftworks using waste materials such as newspapers, invitation cards, and other recyclable papers—demonstrating the practical value of resource reuse and environmental responsibility.
This experience strengthened my commitment to environmental education and youth engagement in sustainability initiatives.
