What integrated adaptive learning could look like
The tools to personalize both content and access already exist separately. We predict the next shift in EdTech will be bringing them together, so students with IEPs spend less time managing their tools and more time learning.
Two capabilities, one ecosystem
Integrated Adaptive Learning would combine things that currently operate in silos. Unlike traditional adaptive learning, which only changes what a student learns, this model aims to change both what they learn and how they access it.

Adaptive Learning
Software that adjusts difficulty, sequence, and pacing in real time. For example, if a student misses three problems in a row, the system offers simpler material and revisits the concept without waiting for teacher intervention.
Intelligent access
A system that reads a student's IEP profile and configures text-to-speech, font size, colour contrast, and extended time across connected tools, ideally without the student or teacher setting it up each time.
Integration
A student using Kurzweil for reading and Dragon for writing must manually toggle accommodations in every app. Each toolhas no knowledge of what the student set up elsewhere. In the model we anticipate, a student's IEP profile would configure all connected tools simultaneously, reducing the cognitive load of self-managing access.
