Cerego Pilot

Our free trial for Cerego ends soon, so we won't be signing anyone else up. Thank you to everyone who participated in our mini course as well as the Padlet below — please feel free to read about some of our initial thoughts and experiences on the platform here!

Cerego (https://www.cerego.com/) is an adaptive learning platform which focuses on "personalized memory management" to help students learn more effectively.

We went through a trial course to learn more about the science behind the software, which revolves around factors like memory retention, retrieval, and performance over time. Essentially, Cerego promises to teach and test students in a way that allows for knowledge to stick better.

Over time, the platform analyzes student data to come up with different metrics — Diligence for one's dedication to the system, Knowledge for their performance on assessments, Agility in regards to how quickly they pick things up, and an overall Readiness score as well.

For anyone interested, you'll be happy to know that we set up a small course ourselves! Cerego encourages students to revisit a bit of content every day (performance over time!), so we recommend that you sign yourself up as early as possible to get a better sense of what the learner experience entails.

If you don't feel like signing up for yet another thing, we understand — we're adaptable (haha)!

Having said that, there is some good content in and we thought it would be worthwhile to share here as well...

Did you enjoy the platform? Were you a fan of the constant emails?

What does being "adaptable" mean to you? There's no perfect way of teaching that works for every single student — is it worthwhile then to think more about how we can help students become more adaptable?
