In this series, I discuss the concepts and the arithmetic of exponents. Most importantly, I tackle the finer points in the language we use to describe what exponents are and how they work.
I then discuss the interactions of exponents in various scenarios, and how these interactions show up in algebra.

Repeating Decimals: Brushing Against Infinity
In this series, I show how we think of decimal numbers as terminating and non-terminating, and repeating or non-repeating. I show how we can convert from a repeating decimal to a fraction, first with algebra and second with a fun little trick!
I then talk about the famous example of repeating examples that shows that 0.999... = 1, as I discuss the meanings of infinity and the infinitesimal.
