Session 1 : Saturday 9/21/2019, 4pm to 6pm
- You will learn the Wuji Qiogong stand and how to align the three acupressure points externally to achieve better internal energy flow and circulation with least physical restrictions.
- Techniques to correct posture for proper body alignment will be taught and practice time for body posture correction will be given in this session. Principles of relaxation with intention and the origin of Wuji Qigong will be elaborated for educational purpose. A Qigong log sheet will be provided to enhance and reinforce the learning and practice of the Wuji Qigong.
Session 2 : Saturday 9/28/2019, 4pm to 6pm
- You will gain a broad sense of how the Huan Yuan Qigong system utilizes the external movements with "yi" to guide the internal qi through various parts and organs of the body to achieve specific purpose. This will set you up for Session 3 where a few selected Hun Yuan Qigong exercises will be explained and practiced in detail for strengthening and healing purpose.
- Principles between the Wuji (stillness) posture and Hun yuan (moving postures) qigong and how to utilize them for health and martial purposes.
Session 3 : Sunday 10/6/2019, 9am to 12pm
- You will learn the refined details and purposes on a few selected Hun Yuan Qigong exercises and will have time to practice on your own for corrections. Principles of the "yi" and "qi" connection will be elaborated on, using the Hun Yuan Qigong exercises as a tool to visualizing the "qi" flow in order to propagate energy through various parts and organs to achieve specific purpose.
- San Cai Zhuang (Heaven, Man, Earth) posture and Taiji Zhuang or Zhong Ding Zhuang (Center and Stable) posture will also be taught and corrected in this session. Stillness and fullness of these two postures will be emphasized to achieve the whole-body integration.
Session 4 : Sunday 10/6/2019, 2pm to 5pm
(* You do not need to apply for Qigong Instructor level 1 certificate to be in Session 4.)
- You will learn the principles behind movements within the stillness and basic body alignment for strength and intention balance through Yiquan postures. You will learn techniques to recognize and correct external body alignment to achieve internal balance through natural equilibrium state for maximizing "qi flow” and "qi storing".
- Putting it all together, use visualization to guide the internal energy to achieve health and martial art benefits.
- We will discuss how to recognize a safe place to learn and teach and the ethical conduct as a student/teacher.
Qigong Instructor Level 1 Certification [OPTIONAL]:
- Applicants for the instructor certificate should read the critiques for the certificate and complete the application. Written test will be passed out to qualified certificate applicants at the end of the WS and you will have 30 minutes to complete the written test. Your application fee ($50) will be returned to you if we determine you don't meet the requirements.
