The ACTS Missions Chapter of Toledo (ACTSMCT) is pleased to announce the formation of The ACTS Coalition of the Parishes of West Toledo. This coalition includes Little Flower Parish (LF), Corpus Christi University Parish (CCUP), and Our Lady of Lourdes Parish (OLL). This ACTS Coalition is being built on the foundation of the Little Flower ACTS Council, which will henceforth be known as the Parishes of West Toledo ACTS Council. The council will begin to integrate members from CCUP and OLL, as soon as feasible.
After successfully completing the Little Flower Men’s ACTS Retreat in October, with retreatants from both CCUP and OLL, the Coalition Council (Core Team) hopes to do the same thing with the ACTS Women’s Retreat, scheduled for April 3 to 6, 2025, at the Weber Center.
This is the second ACTS Parish Coalition in the Diocese of Toledo. The first coalition was with the 3 parishes of Sandusky, which later added St. Peter’s Parish of Huron. In this case, after 10 years of hosting ACTS Retreats with an ACTS Community of over 400 members, Little Flower Parish seemed to have reached a saturation point with increasing difficulty recruiting retreatants from within their parish. The formation of an ACTS Coalition has increased the pool of eligible parishioners from which to recruit.
We, at Chapter, are aware that there are other parishes that are starting to have difficulty recruiting retreatants. Forming an ACTS Coalition with other nearby or smaller parishes may help to revitalize their ACTS Program. So, we recommend that parishes / Core teams consider forming an ACTS Parish Coalition. If you are interested in forming a coalition, please advise us at Chapter so that we may be able to help you through the process. The Chapter currently has members assigned as liaison to each ACTS Core Team.
