The ACT Junior Medical Officers’ Association (JMOA) is the sole incorporated association representing hospital doctors-in-training in the Australian Capital Territory who are employed by ACT Health and Calvary Health Care.
Our membership is open to all doctors in training, from interns through to fellows, working at:
Canberra Hospital (TCH)
Calvary Hospital (Bruce)
With secondment to:
Goulburn Base Hospital
South Eastern Regional Hospital (Bega)
The key objectives of the ACT Junior Medical Officers’ Association are to:
Provide an effective and collegiate point of contact for ACT junior doctors
Advocate for the education, prevocational supervision, and professional development of ACT junior doctors
Form an avenue for support and guidance for ACT junior doctors with issues that may arise in the workplace or relate to personal wellbeing
Facilitate social and professional networking events to foster camaraderie amongst doctors
Establish effective partnerships with stakeholders in issues pertaining to junior doctors, e.g. the Australian Medical Association (AMA) and Australian Salaried Medical Officers’ Federation (ASMOF)
