Squaw Valley is served primarily by Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), which is about 50 miles northeast and an hour by car. Sacramento International Airport (SMF), about 110 miles west and two hours by car, is another option.

The North Lake Tahoe Express shuttle between the Reno Airport, the Village at Squaw Valley, and the Squaw Valley Lodge can be reserved online and currently costs $49 one way: https://www.northlaketahoeexpress.com/

It may be cost effective to rent a car in Reno if a few people are traveling together. If you fly into Sacramento, renting a car is advised. There is plenty of free parking at the Village.

Tahoe City, which is near the lake and has many shops and restaurants, is about 7 miles from Squaw Valley. While ride-sharing services are available in the area, note that wait times can be longer than average as of this writing.
