The A.C.T. project promotes active European citizenship in four upper-secondary schools in Belgium, Italy, Norway and Sweden.
Students acquire knowledge about important European issues: Democracy, Sustainability and Human Rights. They improve their existing communication and digital skills needed to participate in democratic processes. The project guides students to widen their social and cultural horizons and to treat peers from different cultures with respect and an open-mind.
The implemented activities mirror a blended learning structure with online-based activities, in-person meetings through three student mobilities, and classroom activities. Each activity has been designed so that the students work on active citizenship through the lens of one European issue on three levels: acquiring knowledge, developing skills and building a positive attitude.
On this website, we share our journey and all the tasks and teaching materials created by students and teachers. You are free to use these materials and ideas for your own lessons or projects!
