Site Visit to M.i.SEA Collaboration Centre at Ma Tau Kok
We are honoured to have been invited by the Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) to visit the M.i.SEA Collaboration Centre at Ma Tau Kok. On 13 June 2026, our delegates led by Sr Amelia Fok, Chairman of ACQS were warmly welcomed by the representatives of HKHS. HKHS briefed the delegates the innovative idea of using MiC units as site accommodation, creating a collaborative space that goes beyond traditional facilities to support the well‑being of site personnel. The Contractor – Hip Hing Engineering Co., Ltd. also demonstrated the application of AI technology on site, including the operation of a remote‑controlled tower crane and a range of facilities designed to promote the health and welfare of site personnel. These initiatives reflect HKHS’s vision of combining innovation, safety, and care for people, setting a new benchmark for construction excellence in Hong Kong. Our delegates gained valuable insights from the visit, which will be beneficial to the future endeavours of the industry.

ACQS supports the use of ICMS. ICMS (International Cost Management Standard) is a cost and carbon emission classification standard. This link to the ICMS Coalition website is for downloading "ICMS: Global Consistency in Presenting Construction Life Cycle Costs and Carbon Emissions - 3rd Edition, November 2021". ICMS aims to provide global consistency in classifying, defining, measuring, recording, analysing and presenting entire construction life cycle costs and carbon emissions at a project, regional, state, national or international level. ICMS allows costs and carbon emissions to be managed and potentially reduced. The website also provides other information about the Coalition and the Standard.
