VEA UniServ Directors are a wealth of knowledge about legal rights and activities of other education associations around the state. They assist EA members with more pressing or high stakes issues, and give advice on how to address concerns. They help local Unions organize to improve education and working conditions.

Here are some of the ways UniServ Directors help VEA members:

• They can provide information on district- or statewide policies that may be affecting you. They also help local Unions organize to get policies changed if necessary.

• They can provide assistance in applying for FMLA and other forms of leave.

• They can help you communicate with administrators or address a reprimand, improvement plan, or non-renewal.
