WELCOME
Are you a counselor, therapist, or currently a psychology student eager to broaden your understanding of religious beliefs in counseling? Join us for this two-day immersive workshop designed to strengthen your cultural competence, empathy, and ability to provide holistic, faith-sensitive care for clients from diverse religious backgrounds.
Integrating religion into counseling consists of recognizing the importance of a client’s religious beliefs and values in their counseling process. This specific approach acknowledges that religion and spirituality play a significant role in a client’s identity and how they ultimately develop coping mechanisms. Offering the understanding of religion from a counseling perspective gives the client a sense of understanding and support through a more holistic approach. We hope that students and counselors can take their learning from this workshop and us their new knowledge to intergrate into their professions.
Our workshop is aimed at counselors or current psychology students looking to expand their knowledge and skills in integrating religious beliefs into their counseling practice. Whether you're seeking to enhance your cultural competence, improve client outcomes, or better support clients from diverse spiritual backgrounds, this workshop provides the tools and insights you need to create a more inclusive and empathetic therapeutic environment.
