ScienceX Public Engagement Event @Central Library, Manchester, UK

28th & 29th Oct, 2022 : Structural Colors.

I was demonstrating about the colors as we see/observe on our everyday life. Mainly, It could be catagorized in two: (1) structural Colors  (i.e., How we see it)  and (2) Usual artificial colors due to dyes or pigments (i.e., How we make it). Structural colors: Because of nanostructures and thereby their contribution towards the interference and diffraction etc. by incident lights. Many thanks to Prof. Radha Boya's Group for such a wonderful opportunity.

On awareness of Marie Curie Fellowship followed by a book publication

7th Oct 2022:  An event took place at Kakaya village (Nalbari), Assam where the main focus was to motivate the young researchers/minds to pursue their dream careers in Europe as independent fellows. On board we had Mr. Prafulla Barman (my father-in-law), a member of the Assam Science Society with the role of popularizing science at the general audience level, to organize this event as well as to publish a book on this very day. The title of the book is “Sannidhar Subash” which is all about the biography of 96 persons from Assam, including myself.  No word would suffice to acknowledge Mr. Prafulla Barman’s effort towards the awareness of science and related fellowship schemes.

Inauguration of a book: "Muktir Ukmukoni"

3rd March 2024: Inauguration of another book "Muktir Ukmukoni"  by the esteemed journalist Haider Hussain, alongside distinguished guests including Jnanen Chakraborty and Rajendra Jain at Kakaya Village, Nalbari, Assam.

Openday Activities @IISc

March, 2016 & 2015: Gas-flow sensor experiment

Continuous N2-gas flow used to show the generated voltage difference on a doped Si-chip. Labview codes were used for Keithley source meter to show the generated voltage difference on a monitor screen.

March, 2012 & 2011: Ferrofluid experiment

I volunteered independently to show the ferrofluid behaviour using a strong magnet. I demonstrated on alignment of nanoparticles along the direction of the applied magnetic field and their macroscopic distribution in hexagonal arrangements.

Volunteered Activities

1. by Dr. Tanusri Pal, Midnapore College, Physics Department, India.
