On my birthday I began writing 33 notes of gratitude to individuals who I did not believe knew of the true impact they have had on me. Recipients included two members of law enforcement, five former teachers, two ex-boyfriends, four preachers, and so many others who made profound impacts on the foundation of my core as a human. All notes were mailed by the end of February - ultimately sent to 50 individuals, far surpassing the original goal of 33.
