Activity: LED Circuits Exploration

Challenge: Using:

• 6V Battery Pack

• Half-size breadboard

• LED of different colors

• Push button switch'

• Hook-up wire

• Resistors or 500 ohm potentiometers

Build a circuit that illuminates 3 LEDs, one of which is controlled by a push-button. 

Draw a schematic diagram

Measure the voltages in each part of the circuit

Measure the current flowing through the LEDs

Measure the resistance value that produces a current flow of 20 mA
