Pre-Course Requirements
In the class we will try to use as few boring words about grammar and the English language as possible, so that you can learn English by actually using the language.
However, there are words that I require all my students to understand. They are the parts of speech, subject-verb-object, and some other vocabulary about English.
Testing Information - T1 2025
Testing Dates:
Tuesday/Thursday Classes: March 11 & March 18
Monday/Wednesday/Friday Classes: March 17 & March 21
Saturday Classes: March 15 & March 22
GEP 8 is a gateway level: In order to pass to level 9A, students must score at least 50% overall, and pass 3 of the 5 macro-skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar). Students who do not meet these criteria must retake level 8.
There is no vocabulary exam.
Writing Task: Advantages and disadvantages
Reading: 25% (pass= 13 or more)
Listening: 25% (pass= 13 or more)
Writing: 20% (pass= 10 or more)
Grammar: 15% (pass= 8 or more)
Speaking: 15% (pass= 8 or more)
Note: There is no speaking exam. The score will be given based upon class attendance, participation, and performance.
