In the fall of 2022, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee conducted a survey of those who work in the field of economics in Atlantic Canada, including academic and non-academic settings. The purpose was to:
examine the representation of economists in Atlantic Canada across various dimensions of diversity;
assess workplace climate, including discrimination and harassment; and
solicit input about what individuals, employers and/or professional associations could do to improve diversity, equity and inclusion in the field of economics in Atlantic Canada.
The survey report is available here. Further, a subset of the analysis has been peer-reviewed and published in the Atlantic Canada Economics Review, which is available here.
