What is a QEW

A Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) is trained and knowledgeable about tasks performed on electrical equipment, including safety measures, protective equipment, and task proficiency. OSHA 1910.332 requires QEWs be trained and familiar with 1910.331 through 1910.335. QEWs should have additional training to perform work on energized equipment and carry out the tasks associated with their job. They can also train unqualified electrical workers to provide additional QEWs down the road.

Purpose of Ace Electric's QEW Program

Ace Electric's Qualified Electrical Worker Program is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to safely and effectively work in the electrical industry. Our program aims to provide comprehensive training that encompasses both theoretical understanding and practical application in electrical systems, equipment, and regulations. Through rigorous coursework, hands-on experience, and mentorship from industry experts, participants will develop a deep understanding of electrical principles, codes, and best practices. Our ultimate goal is to empower graduates to become proficient, safety-conscious electrical professionals capable of meeting the demands of a dynamic and evolving industry while ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety in their work.
