Founded in 2022, ACCR is a non-profit organization committed to advancing cancer control through research, education, and cancer law. Our mission is to explore the nature, causes, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure of all cancers. We are dedicated to translating our research into practical legislation and policies that support cancer prevention and care in Uganda.

At ACCR, we believe in the power of collaboration and innovation. By partnering with government and non-governmental organizations, we aim to ensure the highest standards in cancer research while working to develop policies that protect and improve public health. We are equally focused on educating the next generation of scientists and raising public awareness about the importance of cancer prevention and treatment.

Our core objectives include:

• Investigating the causes of cancer in Uganda and developing improved methods for diagnosing, preventing, and treating various forms of cancer.

• Providing state-of-the-art training and educational opportunities for emerging researchers.

• Guiding lawmakers with scientific evidence to help shape cancer-related policies that Uganda needs.
