Thank you for attending!
Held 11-13 December 2024
In line with Accounting Forum’s vision, the theme of this inaugural conference was to bring together researchers in accounting and related areas from varying viewpoints, approaches and paradigms; provide a forum for ways we might bridge the gaps in our understanding; and broaden the scope of discussions beyond our own research groups. The conference was a great success and the Editors thank the presenters, delegates, chairs, reviewers, ESC facilitators and guest speakers for helping to make it a memorable inaugural conference!
Charles, Carol, Byron and Lisa.
Professors Charles H. Cho, Byron Song and Carol Tilt welcome incoming Editor, Joanne Tingey-Holyoak at the Gala Dinner.
Accounting Forum will have a Special Issue of the journal associated with the conference. To facilitate this, there will be a Special Track at the conference on the theme:
"Developing and Measuring the ‘S’ (Social) in ESG"
The purpose of the special track is to help authors in developing their papers for submission to the Special Issue.
As part of Accounting Forum's commitment to encouraging and developing accounting scholars of the future, our inaugural conference will feature mid-career researcher(s) as our plenary speaker(s).
We will also hold an Editor's Panel Session, where we will discuss how Journal Editors deal with issues around the conference theme of 'bringing people together' and broadening our discussions beyond our own research groups.
We are delighted to announce that our inaugural plenary keynote speaker will be Dr Olayinka (Yinka) Moses from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand
The ESC and Main conference will be held at the University of South Australia, City West Campus, 50-55 North Terrace, Adelaide.
Main Sessions will be in the Bradley Forum (Hawke Building Level 5), with some parallel sessions in breakout rooms on Level 6.
The Conference Dinner will be held at the iconic Adelaide Oval.
