For our group, we each read a different book; Writing Down the Bones, The Art of Memoir and Why They Can't Write. Our research started with a want to move away from the soul sucking 5 paragraph essay, and into sustainable writing practices. Each of us developed our own questions and research threads as we conferenced each week about our mentor texts.
